Limbo

18 Jan

Just before Christmas my wonderful Grandma surprised my family with tickets to see LIMBO at Edinburgh’s Christmas festival.

My family didn’t know anything about it, but i did. The day after the Amanda Palmer house party most people headed out to see Limbo at London’s festival… and i was rather sad about missing it as i hurtled back to Edinburgh on the train 😦 So, getting tickets to see it just before Christmas was just awesome!!

Billed as: “Witness heart-stopping illusions, mind-bending manoeuvres, breathtaking
dance moves and thrilling live music from a coterie of highly skilled
international performers. A summer celebration of otherworldly
proportions, welcome to the greatest party ever between heaven and hell.

Well, sign me up!

Amanda Palmer fans had told me it was wonderful, so naturally it was going to be wonderful, and directed by Sxip Shirey you know it’s gonna be good, at the very least great music!

Well, high expectations surpassed… it was bloody brilliant!

And my family, who normally consider the stuff that i/”a weirdo” like, is, well, weird, bloody loved it too! the main comment being that we all now want bendy stick pole things… yeah i wont spoil the surprise! but oh my word they look amazing fun!

Gloriousness all round… looks like they are in Australia at the moment, BUY TICKETS AND GO!!!

If you weren’t convinced already… watch this clip…

Probably not the most eloquent review they’ve gotten… just a little sharing the love blog post because great art must be shared!

See you in limbo…
